Flextronics acquires AFL Stribel
The EMS-provider Flextronics is to acquire Germany-based Stribel AFL, a subsidiary of the Alcoa Group.
EMSAFL Stribel, based in Frickenhausen, produces electronic control units for the automotive supplier industry. All 150 Stribel employees in Frickenhausen will transfer to Flextronics at the beginning of December. The company will then be incorporated into the Sidler Automotive business.
Neither Flextronics nor AFL Stribel have announced any redundancies regarding this decision.
