Foxconn invests heavily in China
The Taiwan-based EMS-giant Foxconn is investing massively in China, announcing a series of investment projects.
EMSThe investment sum - that Foxconn plans to put down - is said to total US$393 million. Those investment projects are mainly focused on the EMS-providers own subsidiaries in China. However, Foxconn is also planning ahead for the new notebook manufacturing facility in Chongqing, China, DigiTimes reports.
Hon Hai is to invest around US$94 million in mobile phone manufacturer Foxconn Precision Electronics - both Langfang & Taiyuan; approx. US$80 million will go to Fuhuajie Industrial (printer manufacturing); around US$50 million are said to go to Hongfujin Precision Industry (for a new laptop facility - a joint project with Hewlett-Packard) and US$40 million will be invested in Fuyu Electronic Technology (connector manufacturing).
