PCB market turned up in November 2009
The turnover for the PCB manufacturers levelled in November 2009 (compared to October 2009), reports the ZVEI association PCB and Electronic Systems.
PCBThe cumulative turnover for the first 11 months of the year stayed well below the level of the comparable period in 2008. The order intake on the other hand, increased significantly in November and climbed to the highest level in 13 consecutive months. Compared with October 2009, order intake increased by 8.5%. Compared to November 2008, order inflow increased a whopping 42%.
As the order inflow increased more than the turnover, the book-to-bill ratio stands at 1.23.

Overall, the demand shows signs of recovery. The downturn in the PCB industry began in the wake of the global financial crisis in November 2008. A continuous decrease was observed until May 2009. Since June however, a slow improvement is visible. Overall staff numbers have increased by 0.5% in November 2009. As demand picked up again, recruitments were possible again.
